Indexes allows you to customize how your directories are displayed on your website.
If a browser navigates to a section of your site that has no index file (eg index.php, index.html) then by default it will show the contents of the directory (files and folders)
Indexes allows us to disable this which is particularly useful for security.
To Set up index managmange first you will need to navigate to the folder you wish to apply it to;
You will then need to choose the type of indexing you wish to be applied;
Default System Setting; Enables the default setting that has been setup for you.
No Indexing; This will disable the directory listing. If there is no index file such as an index.php or index.html in the directory then the user will get an error.
Standard Indexing; This will enable the directory listing. Allowing users to see the name of the directories.
Fancy Indexing; This will enable the directory listing. Users will be able to see the name and description of files and directories within your indexed directory.
