This section goes over the options available to you for data compression on your server.

There are only a few options available to you in this section but they include the following;

Compression options

The first option allows you to set the level of compression that data will undergo. 0 is the smallest amount of compression however is very fast, 9 is the most amount of compression yet slow. A number in between is preferable, 6 is the default.

The second option allows you to decide how many compression processes you can have running simultaneously on your server. It is recommended that this number be the number of processor cores that is available to your server for the fastest compression.

The third option allows you to decide the size of the kilobyte chunks that will undergo compression. Higher values can be used however this is only recommended for servers with large amounts of level 2 and level 3 cache available to their processor.

Once you have changed any settings make sure to save the changes by clicking save at the bottom;
