Compiler Access

What is Compiler Access in WHM?

The compiler access settings allow you to enable/disable the use of compilers for everyone or just for specific users.

Disabling compilers for all users unless you have a specific reason for enabling all or even individual users is a safe and sensible thing to do because there are exploits out there that can seriously harm your server that require access to the C compiler.

To Enable or disable compilers for all users simply click on the Enable Compilers or Disable Compilers button.

Compiler Access

To Enable compilers for specific privileged users, click the Allow specific users to use the compilers link below Enable Compilers.

Compilers must be disabled for all users first to be able to see this option.

Manage specific users

Select the name of the user that you wish to add to the compiler group.

Click add to group.

In order to remove a users compiler access, select their username in the compiler group and click remove from group.
