Access Lists

In this section we will go over the options available to you in the Access Lists tab of the Basic Exim Editor.

Below you can see the first option;

Access List Options

This option allows you tell the Exim configuration to automatically whitelist the know mobile device providers to a whitelist. This means that the emails sent to the server from these provides will bypass the email filter.

Clicking on "Edit" Will open the following window;

SMTP IP Addresses window

This option allows you to edit the list of blacklisted SMTP IP addresses. These IP's are refused connection with your SMTP server and instead receive a 550 error.

Access List Options

Clicking on "Edit" Will open the following window;

Sender Verification bypass IP Addresses Window

This setting allows you to whitelist IP addresses that will then be excluded from SMTP sender verification checks.

Clicking on "Edit" Will open the following window;

Verify Recipient Window

This setting allows you to edit a list of IP addresses that will be excluded from SMTP-time spam checks, except recipient verification checks.

Clicking on "Edit" Will open the following window;

Trusted SMTP IP Addresses Window

This setting allows you to edit a list of IP addresses that the system will exclude from SMTP-time recipient, sender, spam, and relay checks.

Backup MX Hosts Window

This setting allows you to list hosts that have reverse DNS from which the system will allow SMTP connections regardless of rate limits.

Clicking on "Edit" Will open the following window;

Trusted Mail Users Window

This setting allows you to list certain users as trusted mail users. Trusted users are capable of bypassing the Rewrite From header in order to match who is actually sending the email. 

In order to add users to the trusted list enter their mail usernames or email address one per line.
