Skeleton Directory

This interface allows you to view the location of the skeleton directory. The skeleton directory allows you to easily copy the same files to every new account's public_html and public_ftp directories when the system creates a new account.

In order to setup a skeleton directory you will fist need to plan what content or create content that you wish to supply to your new users.

You will then need to place these files into the appropriate subdirectories;

/root/cpanel3-skel/public_html - This is the skeleton directory for for the root user.

/home/reseller/cpanel3-skel/public_html - This is the skeleton directory for a reseller, where "home" represents the name of the "home" partition, and "reseller" represents the reseller's username.

If you have any FTP related files you wish to be available to your new users you can add them in the following directories

/root/cpanel3-skel/public_ftp - This is the skeleton FTP directory for for the root user.

/home/reseller/cpanel3-skel/public_ftp - This is the skeleton FTP directory for a reseller, where "home" represents the name of the "home" partition, and "reseller" represents the reseller's username.
