Add a Package

This interface allows you to create new packages.

You will need to enter a desired package name in the "Package Name" textbox. You will not be able to modify package names once you have created the package. For this reason, you should avoid package names that include details that you may wish to change later.

You will then need to enter the information in the Resources and Settings sections. The Settings section will also allow you to change settings for some third-party packages, if the package provider configured this ability.

You can find more information on each option below. Once you have comple Click Add.

Resource Options

Disk quota (MB) - This setting allows you to set the maximum amount of space on the server’s hard drive that the account can use, measured in Megabytes (MB).
Monthly bandwidth (MB) - This setting allows you to set the amount of information that the account can transfer each month, measured in Megabytes (MB).

Be Aware that for both "Disk quota" and "Monthly Bandwidth" options you should consider the type of content that your users intend to host. Depending on the content this will greatly affect the amount of disk space and bandwidth that they need.

Max FTP Accounts - This setting allows you to set the maximum number of FTP accounts that the account may have.
Max Email Accounts - This setting allows you to set the maximum number of email accounts that the account may have.
Max Email Lists - This setting allows you to set the maximum number of Mailman mailing lists that the account may have.
Max Databases - This setting allows you to set the maximum number of each available type of SQL database that the account may have. If this value is set to 5 for the MySQL® and PostgreSQL® databases, the account will be able to create up to five MySQL databases and up to five PostgreSQL databases.
Max Sub Domains - This setting allows you to set the maximum number of subdomains that the account may have.
Max Parked Domains - This setting allows you to set the maximum number of parked domains (aliases) that the account may have.
Max Addon Domains - This setting allows you to set the maximum number of addon domains that the account may have.
Maximum Hourly Email by Domain Relayed - This setting allows you to set the maximum number of emails that any domain on the account can send per hour. This value defaults to Unlimited. A value of 0 represents Unlimited.
Maximum Percentage of Failed or Deferred Messages a Domain May Send Per Hour - This setting allows you to set the maximum percentage of failed or deferred messages that a domain on the account can send before your server temporarily blocks outgoing mail from that domain. When a domain exceeds the limit, it will be unable to send mail for a short period of time. By default this value is set to unlimited.

Settings Options

Dedicated IP - This allows you to set that this package should provide a static IP address to that the account which will not be shared with other accounts unless the user specifies an account with which to share an IP address. Once you create a package with this option enabled you will not be ablt to edit this option. In order to change this setting, you must create a new package. This setting is genrally only recommend for packages that you will apply to reseller accounts.
Shell Access - This setting allows the user to access the server through a command line interface. It is recomended that you do give users shell access however it is recommend that you provide jailshell user environments if you do.
CGI Access - This setting allows the account to execute CGI scripts.
Digest Authentication at account creation - This setting enables "Digest Authentication" support for Web Disk access over a clear text or unencrypted connection. This setting is required if your server does not have an SSL certificate that a recognized certificate authority has signed.
cPanel Theme - This setting allows you to select a cPanel theme from the menu.
Feature List - This setting allows you to select a feature list from the menu. A Feature list defines which cPanel features are available to the cPanel user. In order to create or edit a feature list, you should use WHM's Feature Manager interface.
Locale - This option allows you to select a locale from the menu. This will change what language that the account with this package is displayed in.
