What is phpMyAdmin?

PhpMyAdmin is a tool intended to be used for the administration of MySQL/MariaDB through the web browser.

We can use phpMyAdmin to perform a number of different tasks such as creating, modifying or deleting databases, tables, fields or rows; executing SQL statements; or managing users and permissions.

phpMyAdmin is intended to be used alongside server script languages of which PHP is one of the most common. Server script languages allow you to create a large range of content and functionality for your websites and web based applications however are fairly complex programming languages themselves.
